Points. 19. Jan 14, 2014. #1. Hi all, Was wondering if anyone could help, I'll try and put as much info as poss below, so bear with me here. Just before xmas my 2.8 JTD 2003 van decided it didn't want to start in the cold mornings, so got the AA out and the bloke said the thermostarter relay fuse had power going in but didn't seem to have power
Any space in the fuel tank above the fuel level will be air. This will contain moisture, as does the air around us. When the temperature is cold, the moisture condenses on the sides of the tank, and drains down into the fuel. The fuel rises above the water, so some water is drawn forward to the filter, which is designed to separate it out.
Have a Ducato 2,8 jtd 02 with Dethleff motorhome. When driving, speedometer suddenly stopped working and motorlamp on. Workshop replaced speedsensor but no response. Got speedometer wiring diagram and found that fuse F11 12v going to speed sensor K084 was blown. The wire connects also to E5030 and E5050.
The replacement common rail 2,8 JTD (Iveco 8140.43S) was introduced in 2000, and fitted until 2006. The most obvious recognition feature of the 2.8 JTD is the two 6cm OD air hoses running to and from the intercooler, behind the top of the radiator.
Jan 11, 2010. #1. Hi. I have a 52 plate ducato with the 2.8 jtd engine and the cold start system is not working. It has the manifold heater rather than glow plugs. I have changed the heat plug in the manifold but it is still not working. The relay works when I ran seperate lead to it but there must be a tempreture sensor somewhere fire up the
Re regarding the location of the oil pressure sensor, I appreciate that my PVC has a different engine (2.8 JTD), but on examining the underside recently for another matter, I noticed a sensor attached where the turbo oil feed pipe connects to the cylinder block. Checking Fiat documentation has confirmed that it is the oil pressure sensor.
Found the sensor that was causing my temperature gauge to go to maximum Changed sensor but when I put spade connectors back on it won't start and showing a cab and padlock warning light on dashboard It's a 2.8 jtd fiat ducato on a 54 plate Motorhome
